Jonathan “Jelly” Ellington is a native of Asheville, NC. He is a classically trained guitarist, and has performed and recorded with Grammy Award-winning artists. He has been teaching music at Fusion Austin ever since it opened just over 2 years ago, and it’s been an amazing ride thus far! Jelly pursued his passion for music in college, studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Performance. He feels the Fusion one-to-one model has proven to being very effective in bringing out the best in each of his students! Jelly has now released 3 compilation albums of student recordings titled “Bee Cave Sessions,” and enjoys directing monthly open mics for the students to share their talents with fellow peers. Jelly is an avid performer/producer in the thriving Austin music scene, and in turn has many valuable and effective resources to help bring out the full potential in each of his students. His passion for music is infectious, and he always strives to create a fun and creative atmosphere in each of his classes.
