Teacher/Mentor: English, History, & Philosophy
Jake Noonan is a humanities teacher at Fusion Academy of Ardmore. As a teacher, Jake is passionate about helping students think critically and creatively through a discussion based format in tandem with artistic projects. He believes that every student has a unique perspective that can flourish within a caring and nurturing environment.
Jake graduated from Temple University with a B.S. in Secondary Education and English as well as a minor in Philosophy. Jake taught abroad in South Korea for one year, acting as a core teacher for grades K-10. In addition, Jake taught at The Grayson School for 4 years as the core Humanities and English teacher. Here, Jake also acted as the eSports, Archery, Ultimate Frisbee, and Outdoor Education coach. Currently, Jake is pursuing an MFA in Humanities from APUS.
With any free time, Jake enjoys the wilderness, writing, performing live music, taking road trips, exploring the world (both physical and metaphysical), and watching Ru Paul's Drag Race.
