Alyson Richardson

Alyson joins Fusion Ardmore as a Post-Secondary Counselor and Yoga/Wellness Teacher/Mentor. She started her school counseling career in 2015 with Prince William County Schools in Virginia. Initially, she served as the 3rd-5th grade counselor at an elementary school, and after three years she transferred to a high school in the same county. As a high school counselor, Alyson worked with 9th-12th grade students with a wide variety of academic, college & career, and social/emotional needs. Alyson is a National Certified Counselor with a passion for helping students navigate their academic and career endeavors. Additionally, Alyson loves sharing the gift of mindfulness with students, especially in the form of yoga. She began her personal practice of yoga at a D.C. studio din 2017, and in March 2020 she became a 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher certified by the global yoga professional organization, Yoga Alliance.
Alyson attended the University of Virginia for her undergraduate studies, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology. She then went to graduate school at the College of William and Mary where she graduated with a Master of Education in School Counseling. WAHOOWA and Go Tribe!
In her free time, Alyson enjoys practicing yoga, running, snowboarding, and being outside. She loves traveling to different cities with her fiancé, watching UVA basketball games, and hanging out with her awesome cat T.J.!
