Experience

As a twenty-four year veteran educator and school administrator, Sagui has taught and mentored students of all ages, from various backgrounds and diverse academic and socio-emotional needs. As such, she is an ardent proponent and advocate of an individualized modality to education, one which tailors learning to reach and engage each learner as the avenue to help them unleash their full potential and build their confidence to help them succeed.

Sagui's classroom background includes teaching various subject matters and grade levels in elementary, middle, and high school in private, charter and public school settings. She also has experience teaching pre-service graduate level courses at Pepperdine University, and participating in dissertation defense committees for doctoral candidates. As a school administrator, she successfully led the opening a new charter school, and led various WASC school accreditations and school CDE certifications. She possesses extensive knowledge and experience in policy development, educational research, aligning curriculum and assessments, data analysis, supporting teachers through mentoring practices and pedagogical differentiation, working to innovate the learning experience, caring for students through restorative practices, and leading testing for the College Board suite of assessments.

Sagui holds a doctorate degree in educational leadership, administration and policy, and a master’s degree in education with a specialization in teaching English as a second language from Pepperdine University; California administrative and teaching credentials; and a bachelor’s degree in History from Cal Poly Pomona.

During her personal time, she loves spending time with her husband and daughter. She also enjoys outdoor running and training for half marathons, and takes pleasure in cooking healthy meals to enjoy with family and friends.
