Josh graduated from Chapman University with a BM in Music Education, fueling a career focused on nurturing student growth and fostering a vibrant school culture.
Experience
Josh began his Fusion journey over 14 years ago at the Huntington Beach campus as a teacher. His dynamic career saw him progress to Department Head and Director of Student Life, eventually moving into leadership roles across Fusion campuses. In Pasadena, he worked as the Director of Education, where he supported an academic program and fostered a student-centric environment. During the pandemic, he took on the challenging role of Campus Director and Head of School at Fusion San Diego, guiding the campus through remote learning and the transition back to in-person instruction. Josh’s leadership style is defined by his commitment to fostering wellness, academic integrity, and genuine human connections for all students and staff.
Now, as the Campus Director at Fusion Aliso Viejo, Josh is excited to bring his experience in empowering teams and cultivating a supportive school culture that prioritizes student success, engagement, and well-being.
Fun Facts and Hobbies
- Born and raised in Pearl City, Hawaii, Josh moved to California for college and now calls it home after spending over half his life here.
- A proud DIY'er and tech enthusiast, Josh enjoys tackling hands-on projects and experimenting in the kitchen.
- In a former career as a trumpet player, Josh performed in diverse settings—from orchestras and wind symphonies to brass quintets, jazz combos, and big bands. He’s also played in pit orchestras for productions like Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, and Peter Pan.
