Justine graduated with a B.S. in biomedical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. As an undergraduate, Justine was involved in biomedical research with a focus on tissue engineering, which allowed her to travel around the world, working in international research facilities and conferences. After graduating, Justine originally moved down to Alexandria to continue biomedical research at the National Institutes of Health. It was at the NIH that she discovered the joys of teaching and mentorship. She is passionate about science and technology and hopes to share this passion with her students.
In her spare time, Justine often daydreams about travelling, naps with her dog, and occasionally participates in Netflix marathons.
