Education

After spending his early adult life as a professional musician and nearly a decade as a USDA Consumer Safety Inspector, Jim Hagan decided that his hobby (teaching marching band and indoor percussion) would be an enjoyable thing to do full time. He attended East Stroudsburg University of PA and earned his BA in US/World History in 2016, studying under Dr. Michael Gray (Civil War/Reconstruction) and Dr. Shannon Frystak (Social History/Civil Rights Movement). While beginning work as a teacher in Baltimore County, Jim also attended graduate school at Clarion University of PA, studying under Dr. Yoo Jin Ha (library/school media management) and Dr. Rhonda Clark (digital librarianship/digital scholarship).
