Jack Maes

Science, Math and Humanities Teacher/Mentor

Jack is elated to be teaching at Fusion. His teaching and research interests are focused on experimental pedagogy, ranging from project-based and active learning to Socratic and discussion-based practices. Jack graduated with his B.A. and M.A. degrees from the College of William and Mary. He also holds a M.S. and Graduate certification in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT. He has been a Science, Math, and Humanities teacher for over six years. Jack lives by the mantra that if you can’t explain something simply, you don’t fully understand it.

In his spare time, Jack loves to fence, rock-climb, hike and read as much as possible.
