Theresa Snow

Math/Spanish/Social Sciences

Theresa is thrilled to be a new addition to the Fusion teaching team in the areas of Math, Spanish, and the Social Sciences. Originally from Austin, Theresa received her B.A. in Geography from UC Berkeley (Go Bears!). During that time she completed a year of coursework at the University of Granada, Spain, to study the geography and anthropology of migrations, as well as Spanish literature (also flamenco — loosely). Her experience in tutoring and mentoring span from Texas to California, including various public schools in Austin and Richmond, CA. One of her most prized experiences was working with incarcerated GED earners and English Languages Learners at San Quentin State Prison. She has also worked as a GIS and Mapping Technician at Apple, Inc., and a case worker at an emergency homeless shelter for immigrants.

Outside of the classroom, Theresa is a proud parent to a two-year-old spunky shelter pup named Moose. She frequents Austin’s trailheads, parks, basketball courts, bike lanes, art museums, theaters, music venues, and brunch spots. Her favorite activity is biking to the Austin Film Society to watch the documentaries and old films that nobody has heard of. She can also be found blasting 102.7 Latino Radio and harmonizing to Shakira’s greatest hits.

Theresa loves the diversity of interests and personalities at Fusion. She hopes to always hold space for her students to channel compassion, weirdness, excellence and innovation in everything they do.
