Creative Elective Department Head
Meera was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. She completed her Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo and from there, went on to pursue her Doctorate of Medicine and Master of Science in Adolescent Education. She believes that teaching will allow her to be a student for life as she incorporates new research findings, technologies and current events into her classroom.
Over the past five years she has had the privilege of teaching various Math and Science courses to hundreds of high school and college students across North America. Working at different institutions across North America has helped her become better equipped at working with both traditional and non-traditional students from diverse academic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.
In her spare time, Meera enjoys laughing, spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, singing, dancing, walking near any body of water, practicing yoga, playing games and replicating anything she can from Pinterest. She also loves to travel and explore new cities. Over the years, she has been fortunate to have traveled to various cities in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
Meera is quite unique. You will know her when you see her… she will have a grin on her face while saying words like eh?, aboot and bay’g.
