Math & Science Teacher
Ashlynn was born and raised in the beautiful city of Austin, Texas. She has always felt that nature and environmental-related issues were subjects she wanted to be involved with for her entire life. At Texas State University in San Marcos, she received a B.S. in Resource & Environmental Studies in 2015, followed by an M.A. in Sustainability Studies in 2018. Throughout her studies, she worked as a T.A. and completed several internships that focused on environmental education. She also went on a study abroad trip to the Netherlands to study sustainable transportation.
Due to the interdisciplinary nature of her degrees, she realized the importance in looking at the bigger picture to come up with sustainable solutions. It was during this time that she developed a passion for alternative forms of education and its potential to reach students in ways that are often overlooked --Fusion was the perfect fit!
Ashlynn is always up for an adventure! In addition to her study abroad trip, she has spent a fair amount of time in Central America and truly enjoys the culture. Closer to home, you can find her hanging out with her dog (Luna Boots), making people laugh, doing anything outside, learning or reading about anything, listening to music or podcasts, drawing, painting, etc….there is not a whole lot that she doesn’t enjoy.
