Group Learning Experiences
Given state requirements in certain Fusion locations, full-time students will be required to attend school on Friday, whether that be the group Forums or other Friday programming (wellness, tutoring and mentoring, enrichment, P.E., field trips, and one-to-one classes).
Forums are inquiry-based and student-driven experiences. Students choose from a variety of different Forums when they enroll. Teachers help facilitate the Forum, and while no grades are issued, the Forums appear on the transcript, and students build a digital portfolio to share with colleges or universities.
At the end of 10 weeks, the Forum participants will present their project or translate their experience through public presentation or performance to demonstrate their application of learning. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about project idea formulation, sequence, organization, time management, launching, and delivery.
