Don't just live, live well. Learn new methods for coping with stress and improving your quality of life.

What is the wellness program?
There's more to life than the grades on your report card or the size of your new jeans. But it's difficult keeping that perspective in our high-pressure, constantly-"on" society, particularly as a teen. Fusion's wellness program rounds out the academic experience for our students, providing a greater balance and offering opportunities for social, emotional, and personal growth.
Who should attend?
Students attend a total of 20 sessions across four wellness elements—Healthy Habits, Music Expression, Physical Wellness, and Art Expression—as part of a customized program to achieve a more balanced life. This can be needed for a number of reasons, such as high stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, poor body image, social pressure, or substance abuse issues. 
Art expression
Art expression encourages self-expression through art, emphasizing the positive effects of the creative process. Students work with a variety of materials to create visual representations of their thoughts and feelings as a means to:
  • reduce stress and anxiety
  • explore difficult emotions
  • improve self-esteem
  • challenge intellect
Healthy habits
Healthy Habits gives students the tools to navigate the challenges of adolescence. Our educators will work with students to help them:
  • solve problems creatively and assertively
  • cope positively with demands and challenges
  • form healthy relationships with others
  • achieve physical, mental, and emotional balance
Music expression
Music expression concentrates on the therapeutic benefits of music. Utilizing instruments and tools in Fusion's state-of-the-art recording studio, students will explore a variety of types of music and even create their own songs. Students will learn how to use music to:
  • stimulate brain cells and increase focus
  • combat depression
  • reduce heart rate and blood pressure
  • promote sound sleep
    Physical wellness
    Physical wellness focuses on the advantages of maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. The yoga and meditation components combine physical and mental disciplines to help students relax and manage stress, while the nutrition component examines the benefits of healthy eating. Through the exercises and lessons in this element, students will:
    • increase self-confidence
    • build strength, balance, and flexibility
    • improve self-control
    • develop healthy eating habits
