Fusion Academy Los Gatos announced today that the school is now enrolling students for summer and fall sessions. Fusion Academy is receiving an enthusiastic welcome from local parents and students, with summer program enrollment nearly filled and excitement about what the school will offer in the fall.
Fusion Academy offers students a personalized learning experience that caters to each student's individual strengths and weaknesses. Each student receives one-on-one class time with teachers, flexible scheduling Monday through Thursday and a "no homework" model that requires that students complete assignments at the school's Homework Cafe® before leaving campus.
"Fusion addresses the needs of the whole student in a compassionate environment," said Dani LePon Ryckman, head of school. "Students who have struggled with a traditional one-size-fits-all school model are finding great success at Fusion Academy. While providing a high quality college prep education, Fusion also incorporates the arts, music, a professional recording studio, yoga and social activities in its curriculum."
Students looking for an alternative program have found a supportive environment that allows them to thrive at Fusion Academy. "There has not been a day since starting Fusion that I have not actually looked forward to going to school," said Andrew Heenan, a 10th grade Fusion Academy student. "I am doing a lot better in school, and my grades went from C's to A's. I feel a lot more motivated, which was a problem for me before."
Fusion Academy students enjoy many opportunities to interact and socialize with peers. The school sponsors clubs, field trips and other group activities to foster leadership skills and out-of-class learning.
